just sayin.
On the contrary, when we’re dealing with actual penises as opposed to making geology comparisons, the result is more like this:
hmm, yes, one of those penises looks a little more receptive to sensation than the other one (hint: it is the intact penis)
Hey y’all how about we quit shaming people’s bodies based on surgeries done to them before they could consent and have no control over.
That’s totally true. I didn’t intend to shame anyone’s body so I apologize. My intention in posting this was more about preventing what I think is a completely unnecessary procedure from being done on anyone in the future (given that circumcision can have a lot negative consequences for people over time). People who were circumcised as infants had no control over that and I apologize for any insinuation that they may be “lesser” based on something they had no say in. Circumcision has negative consequences is what I’m trying to bring to people’s attentions. I’m not trying to make anyone feel bad for things they had no control over. To me, this is similar to the way privileged people shouldn’t be made to feel guilty and they shouldn’t feel guilty for being privileged but nonetheless they should think about systems of privilege and oppression and the consequences they have. The point isn’t to shame people or make people feel bad for the way they are right now - it is to bring consequences to people’s attention and make them think about what actually goes on after things like circumcision.
